The Double Diamond model of the human-centered design process.

The Double Diamond model of the human-centered design process.

I take an end-to-end approach to work with users to uncover needs and translate designs into reality. My core strength is the breadth of experience working in different domains in public health, education, healthcare, e-commerce, and transportation. This experience allows me to connect with users, not as generic personas, but to understand the reality that they operate in.

I leverage both qualitative and quantitative research methods throughout the design process. I’ve used expert interviews, co-design, and descriptive statistical analyses to understand the problem space and brainstorm. I’ve used focus groups, inferential statisics, observational] studies, and user interviews to evaluate the impact of prototypes and products.

Case Studies

Instead of a tool for management, how can we design technology to support home care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Designing Digital Peer-Led Support

Led a human-centered research initiative with home care workers and their union, 1199SEIU, using scenario-based design to uncover unmet needs and challenge assumptions about technology’s role in workers’ lives.

Translated findings into the design of a virtual, peer-led support group program, and evaluated its real-world use through field observations, in-depth interviews, and thematic analysis.

Demonstrated that technology could do more than coordinate home care workers; it could foster peer connection, validate lived experiences, enable knowledge sharing, and help isolated workers recognize and address common challenges.

During a time of war, how can we protect the health of the Ukrainian people using new data sources?

Modernizing Public Health Surveillance in Ukraine

Led human-centered research with the Public Health Center of Ukraine to introduce syndromic surveillance, a new approach to detecting emerging public health threats using existing health-service data.

Translated insights from expert interviews, international case studies, and stakeholder co-design sessions into dashboard wireframes, standard operating procedures, and workflows for data analysis, risk assessment, and alert response.

The resulting capability was rolled out nationwide in 2026, alongside a new system to digitize public health surveillance capabilities, strengthening and expanding Ukraine’s ability to identify and respond to public health threats.
